Teaching is an aspect of medicine I relish. My current position provides me with the opportunity to teach all members of the health team and I have undertaken this on a regular basis and with mutual benefit. I am an honorary clinical lecturer at the University of Newcastle, teaching and examining undergraduates. I am a supervisor for the Students Selected Component option of the curriculum.

I am a Principal Trainer, Special Skills in Menopause for the Royal College of Obstetricians & Gynaecologists. I was Educational Supervisor for Foundation 1 and 2 Doctors at the Northumbria Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust [2006 – 2007]. I was the College Tutor for the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists and in this role ensured that the educational needs of trainees were met. I continue to act as Educational and Clinical Supervisor for junior doctors in training.
